六十載薪火相傳，一甲子風(fēng)華正茂。2025年11月22日，廣東外語(yǔ)外貿(mào)大學(xué)將迎來(lái)60華誕，這是學(xué)校發(fā)展史上的重要里程碑。在此，我們謹(jǐn)向長(zhǎng)期以來(lái)關(guān)心支持廣外建設(shè)與發(fā)展的各級(jí)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)、海內(nèi)外校友、社會(huì)各界人士，向全體師生員工、離退休老同志致以衷心的感謝和崇高的敬意！

憶往昔，廣外因外而生，特色鮮明，底蘊(yùn)深厚。1965年因應(yīng)國(guó)家外交事業(yè)發(fā)展需要，廣州外國(guó)語(yǔ)學(xué)院扎根南粵。1980年伴隨改革開(kāi)放的時(shí)代大潮，廣州對(duì)外貿(mào)易學(xué)院應(yīng)運(yùn)而生。1995年兩所學(xué)校強(qiáng)強(qiáng)聯(lián)合，組建廣東外語(yǔ)外貿(mào)大學(xué)。2008年廣東財(cái)經(jīng)職業(yè)學(xué)院劃入廣外。六十年來(lái)，學(xué)校始終與黨和國(guó)家同向同行，與時(shí)代發(fā)展同頻共振，積淀了深厚的紅色基因和文化底蘊(yùn)，擔(dān)負(fù)起歷史賦予的光榮使命和重大責(zé)任，在人才培養(yǎng)、科學(xué)研究、社會(huì)服務(wù)、文化傳承創(chuàng)新、國(guó)際交流合作等方面，展現(xiàn)廣外擔(dān)當(dāng)，貢獻(xiàn)廣外力量。

看今朝，廣外因外而興，踔厲奮發(fā)，勇立潮頭。學(xué)校始終秉承“明德尚行、學(xué)貫中西”的校訓(xùn)精神，大力弘揚(yáng)“卓越、誠(chéng)信、包容、自信”的價(jià)值觀(guān)，積極涵養(yǎng)“進(jìn)德、修業(yè)、務(wù)實(shí)、致遠(yuǎn)”的學(xué)風(fēng)，為黨和國(guó)家培養(yǎng)了30余萬(wàn)復(fù)合型創(chuàng)新型國(guó)際化人才，在服務(wù)對(duì)外工作大局中提供有力的人才和智力支撐。面對(duì)教育強(qiáng)國(guó)建設(shè)的新要求和高等教育發(fā)展的新形勢(shì)，學(xué)校緊緊圍繞“國(guó)家所需、未來(lái)所向、灣區(qū)所急、廣外所能”，全力推進(jìn)高水平大學(xué)建設(shè)，充分發(fā)揮國(guó)際化辦學(xué)特色優(yōu)勢(shì)，自覺(jué)擔(dān)當(dāng)涉外人才培養(yǎng)的引領(lǐng)者、服務(wù)對(duì)外開(kāi)放戰(zhàn)略的貢獻(xiàn)者、中外文明交流互鑒的推動(dòng)者。

向未來(lái)，廣外因外而強(qiáng)，奮楫揚(yáng)帆，卓越遠(yuǎn)航。面對(duì)中華民族偉大復(fù)興戰(zhàn)略全局、世界百年未有之大變局，學(xué)校將始終牢記為黨育人、為國(guó)育才初心使命，認(rèn)真落實(shí)立德樹(shù)人根本任務(wù)，矢志追求卓越，奮力爭(zhēng)創(chuàng)一流，以服務(wù)國(guó)家重大戰(zhàn)略為己任，聚焦高水平對(duì)外開(kāi)放，著力打造特色鮮明、優(yōu)勢(shì)突出的國(guó)際化人才培養(yǎng)主陣地和區(qū)域國(guó)別學(xué)、全球治理、涉外法治、中華文化國(guó)際傳播、語(yǔ)言與人工智能等學(xué)科建設(shè)新高地，努力為推進(jìn)中國(guó)式現(xiàn)代化建設(shè)作出新的更大貢獻(xiàn)，在“強(qiáng)國(guó)建設(shè)，廣外何為”的答卷中續(xù)寫(xiě)光榮與夢(mèng)想。

禮贊致敬六秩榮光，攜手共譜未來(lái)華章。學(xué)校將以“六秩榮光、再譜華章”為主題，舉辦建校60周年系列活動(dòng)。我們誠(chéng)摯邀請(qǐng)各級(jí)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)、四海校友、中外賓朋齊聚廣外，暢敘情誼，共襄盛舉，擘畫(huà)未來(lái)！

Guangdong University of Foreign Studies 60th Anniversary Celebration Announcement

(First Notice)

Sixty years of steadfast dedication, a full cycle of flourishing excellence. On November 22, 2025, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) will mark its 60th anniversary—a significant milestone in the university’s history. In celebration of this occasion, we extend our sincere gratitude and highest respect to the leadersat all levels, our alumni at home and abroad, friends from all walks of life, and our faculty, staff, students, and retired colleagues for their longstanding support and dedication to the growth and advancement of GDUFS.

Looking back on our history,GDUFSwas established with a distinctive mission to serve international needs, characterized by unique strengths and a rich foundation. In 1965, Guangzhou Institute of Foreign Languages was founded in the southern cosmopolitan city of Guangzhou in response to the country’s need for foreign service. In 1980, Guangzhou Institute of Foreign Trade was founded amid China’s early phase of reform and opening-up. In 1995, the two institutions merged into the current form, with Guangdong College of Finance and Economics incorporated into the university in 2008. Over the past sixty years, the university has advanced in step with the Party and the nation, keeping pace with the times. With a richrevolutionary traditionand culturalheritage, it has embraced the noble mission and critical responsibilities bestowed by history. Through student education, research, social service, cultural inheritance and innovation, and international exchange and cooperation, GDUFS has demonstrated its commitment and made lasting contributions.

Looking to the present,GDUFS continues to flourish as an institution rooted in its international mission, forging ahead with vigor and standing at the forefront of higher education. Embracing the values of excellence,honesty, inclusiveness and self-confidence, GDUFS is dedicated to its motto “Pursuit of Integrity, Practice and Cross-cultural Learning”, fostering in every student an academic ethos of virtue, diligence, practicality, and noble ambition.
